Recently, Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost spoke to Architosh at length about the future of interoperability with BIM and future AEC apps, including significant comments about the Mac. We shared that conversation in a feature story published here last week.
There was something else that we spoke about though. Royal palace casino. We also touched base lightly on why Revit has never come to the Mac and if in the future there might be the possibility it will move beyond its monolithic Windows codebase.
The answer isn’t a simple “yes” or “no” and involves strategic decisions related to how Revit will evolve with reference to both the cloud and with reference to its own internal engines and core codebase.
